Daifuku Co. Ltd., acquires Intersystems Group

Daifuku Co., Ltd has made the following announcement to acquire Netherlands-based Scarabee Aviation Group B.V and Australia-based Intersystems (Asia Pacific) Pty Limited, one of the world’s leading FIDS providers.

The acquisitions, a key milestone in Daifuku’s Value Innovation 2020 strategy, will increase Daifuku Airport Technologies digital portfolio, affirming their capabilities in Airport Operational Management Systems, Business Intelligence, Biometrics, and Security. Both acquisitions, further strengthen Daifuku’s technological advantage, as a leading provider of end-to-end airport solutions, enabling enhanced airport operations and significantly improving passenger experience.

The decision comes as Daifuku continues its growth trajectory establishing Airport Technologies (ATec) as one of the four core businesses, alongside Manufacturing and Distributions Systems, Cleanroom Production Line Systems and Automobile Production Line Systems.

Daifuku is the only company in recent history to cover all airport fields of baggage handling systems, operation and maintenance; self-service baggage check-in systems and now smart security lanes and airport operational management systems.
